Tell us a little about yourself and the things that make you who you are.
Hi, my name is Sarah. I have been a content creator for over ten years and I have completely fallen in love with bringing stories to life. There is something so special about being able to step into a vision and translate that into something visual, beautiful and meaningful.
I live in sunny Southern California and I’m completely head over heels for this pretty beach town and all things sunshine! I love creating, spending slow days at a coffee shop, loving on every soul around me and sparking joy wherever I’m at. I also love being able to create in a way that truly tells a story and brings a beautiful vision to life, whether that’s through a phone, digital camera, or film camera. Each medium has its own kind of beauty, and I love finding the right way to capture what someone is trying to say.
What does a slow and intentional morning look like for you?
My morning routine is one of my favorite parts of the day. I start the day reading my Bible, having a warm cup of bone broth, and putting my feet in the grass. There is something about starting my morning slowly and intentionally that makes such a difference in how I feel throughout the rest of the day. It works wonders every time and helps me feel grounded and connected before the day really begins.
What inspires you most, creatively and in everyday life?
I’m constantly inspired by my surroundings and pretty much anything in nature. I find so much beauty in the little things around me - the colors, textures, light, changing seasons, flowers, the ocean and the quiet moments that can easily be overlooked. Nature always seems to give me a fresh perspective and sparks so much creativity in me.
What about MOCHA feels most aligned with you?
It aligns with me so naturally through their simple beauty in fashion. The neutrals, the slow living, and the love that is put into each of their pieces really draws me in. There is something so beautiful about having pieces in your wardrobe that feel timeless and intentional.
Having MOCHA as part of my daily wardrobe brings me such deep joy. It reflects so much of what I love and value in everyday life.
What does living well mean to you?
Living well, to me, means living every day with my best foot forward and looking for ways to make other people’s days a little brighter. I think there is so much joy in saying yes, showing up for people and being intentional about how we live. Another important part of living well is taking care of my body and being mindful of the way I live, especially when it comes to sustainability. I want to live with intention and make choices that feel good not only for me, but for the world around me too.
How does that translate into your everyday life?
A perfect day looks like spending the whole day outdoors or by the ocean, with excessive time spent in nature and deep laughing with people I love. I love days that don’t feel rushed and where there is plenty of time to simply be present. Being outside, being near the ocean, and sharing those moments with people I love is pretty much my idea of a perfect day.
What is your favorite corner of your home, and what makes it special to you?
My favorite corner of my home is my kitchen. My mom was always cooking when I was growing up, so the kitchen holds such a special feeling for me. It reminds me of home, family, and all those everyday moments that become some of your favorite memories. It brings me so much joy to do the same now — to cook, gather, and create that same feeling in my own home.
Is there a scent that instantly brings you a sense of peace?
The smell of eucalyptus makes me feel instantly peaceful. It reminds me of my childhood, which makes it especially sweet to me. There is something so nostalgic about certain scents and how quickly they can bring you back to a specific time or feeling. Eucalyptus does that for me and immediately gives me that sense of peace and familiarity.
"Having MOCHA as part of my daily wardrobe brings me such deep joy.
It reflects so much of what I love and value in everyday life."
What values do you hold close to your heart?
Kindness, love and positivity are such big values for me. I truly love doing more than I should and loving a little extra. I think there is so much beauty in going the extra mile for someone or giving more love than is expected of you. It may seem like a small thing but I truly believe it can spark so much extra joy in someone’s day.
What are you still figuring out?
I’m still figuring out how to balance life and work, if I’m honest. I think most people I know are challenged by this in some way, and for me, being intentional about what I choose to spend my time on helps so much.
I’m learning that I don’t have to say yes to everything and that being thoughtful about where my time and energy go makes such a difference. Overall, I’m trying to have the intention each day to simply rest when I need to and allow myself to slow down. I think there is so much value in giving yourself permission to rest rather than always feeling like you need to be doing something.
What are the little things in life you find yourself most grateful for?
I’m most grateful for my family. They mean so much to me, and I feel incredibly grateful for the love, connection, and memories we share. Family has always been such an important part of my life, and I don’t take that for granted.
What is your ultimate beauty tip?
My ultimate beauty tip is non-toxic, always. I’m a big fan of non-toxic beauty and what it can do for our bodies and hormones. I love being intentional about the products I use and choosing things that feel better and healthier for my body.
What do you think you will always be drawn to?
I’ve always been drawn to art. I have loved painting since I was little and it has just become such a big part of my life and my family. Art has always been a really natural way for me to express myself and see beauty in the world. It’s something that has stayed with me throughout every season of my life, and I love that it continues to be such a meaningful part of who I am.
What is your favorite part about getting older?
My favorite part of getting older is growing in wisdom. I love that with each season of life, you get to learn more, understand yourself more deeply and gain perspective from the things you’ve experienced. There is something really beautiful about becoming wiser and allowing those experiences to shape you in a positive way.
What are you looking forward to?
I’m really looking forward to being a wife and mom someday. Motherhood is so beautiful to me and I can’t wait to be part of it. I think there is something so special about the love, connection and everyday moments that come with building a family and it’s something I really look forward to experiencing one day.
